Captain Yar’s Top 5 Celebrity Crushes

#5 – Julie Benz

benz Captain Yars Top 5 Celebrity Crushes

If you all watch the show, Dexter amongst other shows/movies she has been in you will know she is pretty hot. Her roles are usually the same throughout her career (well, from what I’ve seen). An innocent woman that is out for the better good. Hence, Dexter, Rambo and The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (not so innocent in the last one). So yea, this is probably the one you’d want to marry. Hell, what am I saying…if I married any of these actresses I’d consider myself winning.

Kickin’ It Old School.

I would like to start a new series here at TCM called, “Kickin’ It Old School.” What is it all about you ask? It is going to be a look into how things were done in a more badass way back in the day. (See what I did there? I rhymed.) Not like today where everyone is a pussy. No. Things were done properly back then.

For the first episode in our series, we will talk about probably one of the most badass things you could possibly do back in the day. Dueling.

duel Kickin It Old School.

In case you’re a retard and don’t know what dueling is, I will give you a quick explanation. Dueling is when 2 people, most of the time men, have a disagreement or one made the other look bad and must be settled in a proper form. A prearrangement is made at a certain time and location. Once the time has arrived, each man holds a pistol standing back to back. They then walk 10 paces in opposite directions, turning around the shooting the other. Who ever dies or cries like a baby, loses. Simple but epic.

New and Ruined

mothra godzilla 500px New and Ruined

This is going to sound horrible coming from a Captain of this glorious web site, but blogging is sort of ruined for me. It’s ruined because it was once really cool and now everyone is doing it and its lost its luster. Who else is doing it? I’ll elaborate; pretty much everyone.

- My hometown newspaper communicates to its readership through blogs more than stories. Back in the day, actual stories would grace its home page. Now it’s blogs centered on facebook updates, a bobblehead contest (gay), and what its like having kids.
- Mommy blogs are big now. Stay at home mom’s will blog just about anything. They actually found a way to sell out and promote products they’ve never used to its readers.
- Athletes are now blogging on ESPN. I really don’t want to hear what an athlete has to say about his performance on the field. I just want to see them play their sport and that’s basically it.
- Politicians are blogging all over the place. Do yourself a favor, find a few of these blogs and read the comments. You’ll realize our country is pretty fucked up. Not going to lie.

That’s just a small sample of people blogging. To me what was once really cool, now isn’t. I have this thing where when I get into something and it surpasses my perceived level of its coolness ultimately becoming a fad/trend, I lose immediate interest. Hard to explain, but here’s a few examples:
- Dave Matthews (was a fan circa 1993, stopped listening to them by 1998)
- Facebook (had an account in 2005, stopped using it in 2006)
- It’s Always Sunny (watched since 2006, ????)

I guess it’s the way I’m wired, but I can’t get down with trendy things. I hope I’m totally off on blogging, the world goes back to its senses and realizes blogs have a limited purpose, but that probably won’t happen. Regardless, I’m going to keep on chooglin here.

Does anyone else feel the same way??

Top 10 It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Moments: #1

Well, tonight is the season premier of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia…if you didn’t already know. And today is when we will show you the #1 moment in the series history. Enjoy bitches.

#1 – Baby Boy Was Me

Season 4, Episode 13 – The Nightman Cometh
The season 4 finale, as I stated, is my favorite episode and this is my favorite moment from the show which ultimately makes this the #1 moment. The gang finishes the musical or so everyone thinks until Charlie comes out of the sky as the Day Man to propose to the waitress.

Honorable Mentions

- Gas For Sale (Season 4, Episode 1: Mac & Dennis: Manhunters)
- Making A Terrorist Video (Season 2, Episode 2: The Gang Goes Jihad)

Top 10 It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Moments: 4-2

It’s 4 through 2 boners!

#4 – Mac Brags to Charlie

Season 2, Episode 4 – Mac Bangs Dennis’ Mom
To get back at Frank, Dennis and Dee’s mom has sex with Mac, but she hates it and Mac is officially obsessed. Dennis finds out and tries to bang Mac and Charlies mom, but fails.

#3 – Day Man

Season 3, Episode 9 – Sweet Dee’s Dating a Retarded Person
If you watch this show, you know very much about Day Man. I guarantee you have sang it in the shower several times. Basically, Charlie get’s kicked out of a band with Mac and Frank, Dennis takes his place and Charlie becomes depressed. Dennis then gets kicked out, shows up at Charlie’s place and the Day Man is born.

#2 – Freak Show

Season 3, Episode 2 – The Gang Gets Invincible
In this episode, the Philadelphia Eagles are holding opening tryouts like that movie with Marky Mark…and Greenman is introduced to the world. If you don’t know Greenman, you suck.

Honorable Mentions

- Too Much Information (Season 4, Episode 7: Who Pooped the Bed?)
- Gorilla Mask (Season 4, Episode 1: Mac & Dennis: Manhunters)

Stay tuned, tomorrow we will have number 1!

- Moments 10 through 8
- Moments 7 through 5
