This is going to sound horrible coming from a Captain of this glorious web site, but blogging is sort of ruined for me. It’s ruined because it was once really cool and now everyone is doing it and its lost its luster. Who else is doing it? I’ll elaborate; pretty much everyone.
- My hometown newspaper communicates to its readership through blogs more than stories. Back in the day, actual stories would grace its home page. Now it’s blogs centered on facebook updates, a bobblehead contest (gay), and what its like having kids.
- Mommy blogs are big now. Stay at home mom’s will blog just about anything. They actually found a way to sell out and promote products they’ve never used to its readers.
- Athletes are now blogging on ESPN. I really don’t want to hear what an athlete has to say about his performance on the field. I just want to see them play their sport and that’s basically it.
- Politicians are blogging all over the place. Do yourself a favor, find a few of these blogs and read the comments. You’ll realize our country is pretty fucked up. Not going to lie.
That’s just a small sample of people blogging. To me what was once really cool, now isn’t. I have this thing where when I get into something and it surpasses my perceived level of its coolness ultimately becoming a fad/trend, I lose immediate interest. Hard to explain, but here’s a few examples:
- Dave Matthews (was a fan circa 1993, stopped listening to them by 1998)
- Facebook (had an account in 2005, stopped using it in 2006)
- It’s Always Sunny (watched since 2006, ????)
I guess it’s the way I’m wired, but I can’t get down with trendy things. I hope I’m totally off on blogging, the world goes back to its senses and realizes blogs have a limited purpose, but that probably won’t happen. Regardless, I’m going to keep on chooglin here.
Does anyone else feel the same way??
Well, tonight is the season premier of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia…if you didn’t already know. And today is when we will show you the #1 moment in the series history. Enjoy bitches.
#1 – Baby Boy Was Me
Season 4, Episode 13 – The Nightman Cometh
The season 4 finale, as I stated, is my favorite episode and this is my favorite moment from the show which ultimately makes this the #1 moment. The gang finishes the musical or so everyone thinks until Charlie comes out of the sky as the Day Man to propose to the waitress.
Honorable Mentions
- Gas For Sale (Season 4, Episode 1: Mac & Dennis: Manhunters)
- Making A Terrorist Video (Season 2, Episode 2: The Gang Goes Jihad)
That’s it. Incase you missed the earlier moments, click on the links below to see them.
- Moments 10 through 8
- Moments 7 through 5
- Moments 4 through 2
It’s 4 through 2 boners!
#4 – Mac Brags to Charlie
Season 2, Episode 4 – Mac Bangs Dennis’ Mom
To get back at Frank, Dennis and Dee’s mom has sex with Mac, but she hates it and Mac is officially obsessed. Dennis finds out and tries to bang Mac and Charlies mom, but fails.
#3 – Day Man
Season 3, Episode 9 – Sweet Dee’s Dating a Retarded Person
If you watch this show, you know very much about Day Man. I guarantee you have sang it in the shower several times. Basically, Charlie get’s kicked out of a band with Mac and Frank, Dennis takes his place and Charlie becomes depressed. Dennis then gets kicked out, shows up at Charlie’s place and the Day Man is born.
#2 – Freak Show
Season 3, Episode 2 – The Gang Gets Invincible
In this episode, the Philadelphia Eagles are holding opening tryouts like that movie with Marky Mark…and Greenman is introduced to the world. If you don’t know Greenman, you suck.
Honorable Mentions
- Too Much Information (Season 4, Episode 7: Who Pooped the Bed?)
- Gorilla Mask (Season 4, Episode 1: Mac & Dennis: Manhunters)
Stay tuned, tomorrow we will have number 1!
Continuing from yesterday’s 10 through 8….here is 7 through 5.
#7 – Picking Teams
Season 2, Episode 6 – The Gang Gives Back
After accidentally burning down their new neighbors place of business with a faulty flaming bag of poop, the judge ordered the gang to do some community service. What better way to give back than to coach some youth basketball.
#6 – The Right Shorts
Season 4, Episode 12 – The Gang Gets Extreme: Home Makeover Edition
The premise for this episode is straight genius. The gang feels like they want to help out more so they can get the things they want. Charlie is obsessed with Ty Pennington, so they all decide to help make a Mexican family lives better by re-modeling their home, extreme makeover style.
#5 – Troll Toll
Season 4, Episode 13 – The Nightman Cometh
This is my favorite Sunny episode to date. Charlie writes a musical about his “life” to try and impress the waitress and he casts the gang as the main actors. I thought the rape scene went really well.
Honorable Mentions
- The Mad Munchkin (Season 1, Episode 2: Charlie Wants an Abortion)
- Where You Were Touched (Season 1, Episode 7: Charlie Got Molested)
Stay tuned, tomorrow we will have moments 4-2.
So this Thursday is the season premier for the greatest show on television, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. So to celebrate that, we are going to have a Top 10 Countdown of the greatest moments through the first 4 seasons. Today we will show you moments 10 through 8. Let the retardoness begin!
#10 – Charlie Loses His Mind
Season 4, Episode 10 – Sweet Dee Has A Heart Attack
Sweet Dee has a heart attack and Mac and Charlie become worried about their health so they get a job that will give them health care. It turns out that the job was too much for Charlie…and Pepe Silvia.
#9 – Cursed
Season 4, Episode 11 – The Gang Cracks The Liberty Bell
One of my favorite episodes, the gang travels back in time to prove they had a direct connection to cracking the liberty bell. Charlie and Frank are testing out guns that they recently got. When they don’t work, they blame Dee the Witch of cursing them…hilarity ensues.
#8 – Script
Season 2, Episode 8 – The Gang Runs for Office
The gang realizes that they could possibly make money in a political corruption scheme, so Dennis decides to run for District Comptroller. We all know Charlie is illiterate and Dennis showcases that in a script Charlie wrote for him for a commercial they are about to shoot.
Honorable Mentions
- Great Find (Season 3, Episode 1: The Gang Finds a Dumpster Baby)
- A Ton of Acid (Season 3, Episode 2: The Gang Gets Invincible)
Stay tuned, tomorrow we will have moments 7-5.

A little behind the scenes action and a deleted scene from Season 4′s amazing finale…
FYI, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
