Cinco de Mayonaise

Aka, Mexican St. Patrick’s Day. A day where everyone is Mexican. Is that true though, does everyone want to be Mexican? Well, let me quote Joe Baca, “Cinco de Mayo has come to represent a celebration of the contributions that Mexican Americans and all Hispanics have made to America.” Very nice statement Senor Baca. Let’s quickly review what Mexicans have gave us Americans.

  • Tacos
  • Burritos
  • What’s coming out of your speedo
  • Swine Flu
  • Corona, Negra Modelo, Dos Equis, Del Sol, Tecate
  • Tequila
  • Sombreros
  • Unibrows
  • Ponchos
  • Margaritas

So, it’s entirely up to you if you want to show up to work today in a sombrero and poncho thinking your going to get a siesta at lunch time pretending to be Mexican just for 5/5.

Let me give you a piece of advice for today. Don’t walk into a Bodega expecting the employees to be Mexican wishing then a Happy Cinco de Mayo…Colombian’s are NOT Mexican. Just a word to the wise.

Let us know if we left anything out of our list above! Olé!
